In 2061, the world is divided into four economic blocs which spend their time competing against each other.
Due to its important geographical position, Japan is at the heart of numerous clashes between AMAIM, gigantic humanoid robotic weapons.
In addition to fighting, the AMAIM also had the role of patrolling the streets and maintaining control over the Japanese population, who therefore found themselves enslaved by several states.
